In TallulahBelle’s, we hope you discover a place that touches your heart and renews your spirit. All of the wonderfully talented artists we represent were carefully selected because of their stories – stories they tell through art that illuminates our gallery with incomparable beauty and individuality. We are honored and grateful to have the opportunity to bring their work to our community. Our home.
You’ll find that more than 90 percent of TallulahBelle’s artists are women. In them we find a commitment to the purity of their craft that refreshes us in this world of mass production. At TallulahBelle’s we want to extend our support of women and girls beyond just our artists. We also want to recognize and support the women and girls in our own community and in some small way, help them achieve their hopes and dreams as well.
Since my career has its roots in the financial field, partnering with a local foundation that works to improve the economic self sufficiency for working women feels like a perfect fit. TallulahBelle’s is honored to donate a portion of each sale to support The Women’s Foundation of Greater Kansas City’s Rachel Alexandra Girls Grant Project.
The Women’s Foundation is a unique organization that every day is investing in the success of women and girls in our community. Through activism, advocacy, education, research, grant making and more, the organization works to alleviate the causes and not just the symptoms of economic illiteracy.
The Rachel Alexandra Girls Grant Project focuses on educating girls about the need for women’s philanthropy through a hands-on funding project. High school girls, recruited from throughout the metro area, replicate the process followed at The Women’s Foundation. The girls are trained in team-building, leadership and most importantly, grantmaking. They use this knowledge to make grants on behalf of The Women’s Foundation, just like their adult counterparts.
